SHARING TO DEVELOP HEALTH

Our approach

According to the UN, more than two billion people in the world do not have access to essential medicines. Despite the absence of reliable global statistics, the WHO estimates that 50% of this third of the world’s population is in Africa, and more particularly in the sub-Saharan region. It is in this alarming context that our association ACHA wishes to improve access to quality pharmaceutical care for the most vulnerable populations.

The consequences of the drug shortage

  • The first is obvious: life expectancy at its lowest and infant mortality at its highest.
  • The second consequence is also dramatic: the rise of counterfeit medicines. Limited access to medicines combined with a lack of capacity and means for quality control contributes to the proliferation of the trade in cheaper but low-quality medicines, whether substandard or counterfeit.

Our objectives

  • Facilitate access to care for the most vulnerable populations while respecting the local economic interest ;
  • Provide medicines in accordance with national and WHO
  • Prioritize the distribution of medications in our health center
